items are considered acceptable uniform clothing:
Navy
or grey trousers, skirt, pinafore or shorts
Navy or jade polo shirt, polo neck jumper or T–shirt or a white shirt
Navy
or jade sweatshirt or cardigan
For PE the uniform is white T–shirt and navy shorts. Plimsolls and a named
drawstring bag will be needed for PE. An old shirt or apron should be kept
at school for artwork. We appreciate a change of footwear being available
in school on wet or muddy days.
The following items are available for purchase from school:
•
Polo shirts,
sweatshirts, cardigans, T–shirts, all in navy or jade with the school
logo.
•
White PE T–shirts with the school logo.
All clothing should be clearly named. Lost property will be disposed of
each term if not claimed. Jewellery and make up are not appropriate for
school. Children with ear or other body piercing may wear sleepers or plain
studs. For safety reasons no jewellery is permitted during PE lessons. Staff
are not allowed to remove or insert earrings or other studs. Children must
be responsible for removing and storing their own jewellery or not wear
it on days when PE is scheduled. In exceptional circumstances such as a
new piercing, the child should tape over the jewellery e.g. with non–allergic
Micropore tape.
School
Lunches
We
encourage all children to stay for school dinner as we feel it is an important
part of their social development. A varied menu of nutritionally balanced
meals, with a vegetarian option, is prepared in our school kitchen and served
in the main hall. The menus for the week are on display for access by both
children and parents. The children are seated at mixed age tables of six
or seven with the older children serving the younger. Groupings are changed
from time to time.
Payment may be made weekly or per half term in advance. Cheques, payable
to Cambridgeshire County Council are preferred. If paying cash, this must
be brought in a sealed envelope showing the child’s name and amount enclosed.Weekly
payments must be made on a Monday.
Those eligible for free school meals should speak, in confidence, to the
Administration Officer or the School Meals’ Administrator.
We appreciate having at least one week’s notice of any change of a child’s
lunch arrangements. Whilst we like to encourage children to have school
lunches, we regret that we are unable to supply children who usually have
packed lunch with a school meal unless 24 hours notice is given, except
in unusual circumstances. Payment must be made in advance.
Children bringing a packed lunch to school will be seated together, also
in the main hall. Lunch boxes should be stored on the cloakroom shelves
above the hooks. Please note that ice packs may be necessary in the summer.
