PART TIME TEACHER CLASS 3
We are delighted that Mrs Kim Fraser has been appointed as class three teacher, she is an experienced teacher and has just finished a term at Bottisham Primary.

CHILDREN’S INDEPENDENCE
More and more parents are having to make return journeys to school to deliver items forgotten by their children in the morning: homework, book bags, PE kit, drinks bottles, coats, lunch boxes, musical instruments, etc!!! Children can be helped to become more independent by perhaps having a timetable in their bedroom so that they get into the habit of looking at it each evening and getting things ready for the morning. Being organised is a life skill and starting at primary age is a helpful tool for the transition to secondary school where they will have to remember lots more to take to school.

School Caterer
After the post being vacant for quite some time, we welcome Amanda Joyce who has been appointed as School Caterer. A group of peripatetic cooks have done a fantastic job covering the kitchen for which we are very grateful.

Parent Governor Election
As two parent governors have come to the end of their term of office. After half term we will be asking for parent governor nominations. If you are interested in becoming a governor please return the nomination form to the school office by the closing date.

Running Club
We have (so far) received no offers of help to start running club again after Easter, The club is a very popular before school activity but unfortunately if no one comes forward then it cannot go ahead.

Photograph and Video Permission Letters
Thank you to those of you who have already returned your forms. It is vital that we have a 100% return. If you have mislaid your form either request one by email or from the school office and return as soon as possible.

New Members of the Community
We are delighted that Mrs Ann Jones is back working in the office on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. You may remember Ann covered for Mrs Catherine Preston when she was off sick last year.

Welcome to Alicia and Jade Stevens who joined us just before Christmas and to Sean O’Leary who started at the beginning of term.

School Car Park
We have been monitoring the school car park and it is apparent that not all parking spaces are being used and that parents/carers are leaving their cars outside the school entrance. Please may I remind you of the following taken from the school brochure:

‘If absolutely necessary you may drop children by the paved area outside the school but please drive off straight away.’

The safety of every child in the school is of paramount importance to us. We also have a child who uses a wheelchair and walking frame. It is vital that the area in front of the entrance and the disabled parking bay are clear at all times.

Please help us achieve this by using the designated parking bays so that we can ensure as far as possible all children are safe.
